This garden was designed to accommodate two key features requested by the client; a sauna and a cold plunge. Both have been positioned in a sunlit corner of the garden that benefits from the warmth of the morning light.
Ornamental beds will provide structure with scented and evergreen planting including three different Daphne cultivars, sweet box and rosemary. At the centre of the space, a small wildflower meadow overlays a wilder aesthetic onto the garden’s more formal elements and supports biodiversity.
A new limestone patio is proposed to replace the existing porcelain paving, whilst limestone stepping stones set through the meadow create an unobtrusive route linking the main terrace with the sauna and cold plunge deck.
